CS004 This guitar is built from ribbon striped African Mahogany. After my attempts at working with pearl inlay I wanted to get back to something more simple and to concentrate more on perfecting building techniques rather than aesthetics. I spent a lot of time researching what made a guitar sound good and totally devoted myself to putting what I had learned to use. I was extremely pleased with the results and learned to never stray from what makes a guitar sound good. This is an area of great debate and I don't claim to be an expert but good wood, tight joints, and bracing structure are the basic elements of any great sounding guitar. Its one thing to be pretty but the tone is where its at. This guitar was given to my oldest son Cody.
