A wonderful luthier and friend, This is, at times, a very frustrating pursuit. I believe in order to do it well you have to be a perfectionist. I have become frustrated at times and Roger has been there with encouragement and help whenever I needed it. He has taught me a lot and shown me ways of doing things that were faster and easier than what I was doing. There was a time when I was ready to quit and Roger told me if I quit they win. He never told me who they are but whoever they are I dont want them to win and neither did Roger. THANKS MUCHACHO. Joe Dobbs
Joe is the owner of the Fret and Fiddle music store in St Albans, West Virginia. Joe has unknowingly inspired me as well. He has endured me hanging around in his store and has freely shared not only his knowledge of aspects of the music business but stories from his experiences. He has shared his knowledge of other luthiers and how they became successful and encouraged me to always strive to get better. He never fails to point out my improvements whenever he sees one of my guitars for the first time. check out Joes store at........ www.fretnfiddle.com
