I was asked in January of this year if I would be interested in building a guitar for clothing designer Tommy Hilfiger. The opportunity presented itself through an old friend of mine who knows somebody that knows somebody etc. It was a gift for his 60th birthday. I did not have ample notice to start a guitar from scratch and have it finished on time so I remodeled one. I took the top off of #8 and replaced it with a master grade Western Red Cedar top and did custom inlays in the Hilfiger logo theme. I was trying to not be garish and yet still use elements of his logo. This is the end result.
