CS011 This guitar was commissioned by Jerald Greathouse and all of the elements were chosen and designed by Jerald. It is an OM body with a florentine cutaway. The back and sides are "Wild Grain" Indian Rosewood and the top is a Lutz Spruce. Lutz is a hybrid spruce of Sitka and White spruce and is one of the stiffest species of spruce available. The binding, back strip and end graft and pickguard on this guitar are Koa wood from Hawaii. The neck is mahogany. The inlay on the fingerboard is designed by Jerald. The fingerboard and "pyramid" bridge are Ebony. The herringbone purfling and rosette are stained dark to achieve an aged look to go along with the amber tint of the top. The neck profile on this guitar was a first for me as it is a copy of the Vintage V style neck used by Martin years ago.
